How do you get more Aucklanders out on bikes? With bike enthusiasts already pedaling up a storm, we focused on the casual cyclists, those with bikes gathering dust in the shed.

We gave this group a compelling reason to dust off their bikes - ‘point-to-point journeys’. Local café? Cycle there. Saturday sports? Bike there. Mates BBQ? Pedal instead.

By combining something they loved (a trip for icecreams) with the familiar, we were able to get Aucklanders on their bikes in droves - many of them not even wearing lycra.
