Aussies think they know New Zealand. Yawn. No surprises there.
To convince these cynical tourists to cross the ditch, we chose to give them a unique and visceral experience - one that would get inside their heads.
Neuroscience tells us that when we listen to sounds without visual stimulus, the visual part of our brain kicks in, leading to a deeper sensory experience. With this in mind, we created a series of bespoke videos of Auckland’s tourism gems, using surround binaural audio recordings.
Then we told people not to look at them. Just to listen.
